Child and youth counselling.

Experiences of violence are necessary experiences that affected children and adolescents find challenging to deal with on their own. Therefore, they need professional help and a first contact person who advises and supports them in a child- and age-appropriate way.

The offer of counselling centre of KOINS Mittelsachsen is aimed at children from the age of 4, as well as young people who are or have been affected by domestic violence and/or stalking.

... offer children and young people the opportunity to deal promptly with the violence they have experienced or witnessed.
... give children and young people the space to express their feelings and thoughts in words.
... provide child- and age-appropriate advice on protection and help options.
... draw up an individual emergency plan with the child or young person.
... work in a resource-oriented way, strengthen the child's/young person's self-confidence and social competence.
... work out non-violent solutions to problems and conflict strategies together.
... refer children and young people to support services further.
